A 20-year-old driver alleged to have caused the death of a businessman on Sunday has been charged.

Police say the accused has been charged with one count of Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death.

He will appear at the Nausori Magistrates Court today.

The accident happened along Princess Road in Sawani on Sunday.

It’s believed the 60-year-old was driving towards Sawani when he was allegedly hit by another vehicle that was coming from the opposite direction.

He was rushed to the Nausori Health Centre but was pronounced dead on arrival.
