A 20-year-old man died in an early morning accident near Kilikali settlement in Nepani Nasinu.

The victim was hit by a vehicle driven by an 18-year old man as he tried to cross the road yesterday.

He was rushed to the hospital where he died later.

The driver has been questioned and released.

Police are waiting for the post mortem report of the deceased.

Meanwhile in a separate incident an elderly man died yesterday when he fell of a bus in Tagitagi, Tavua.

The 65-year-old man was boarding a bus with his grandson when he was hit from behind by a truck.

He died on the scene.
