$1m allocated to train new Permanent Secretaries

The Public Service Commission has been allocated $1 million to train its new Permanent Secretaries.

Announcing the 2016 Budget today, the Minister for Finance Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says through this, they will be able to get applicants equally with no preference this year.

Sayed-Khaiyum says new recruitment’s will ensure that they engage with high performing executives in the country.

The Public Service Commission will be abolished this month and a new Commission will be effective from January 2016.

Sayed-Khaiyum says salary will be managed by Public Service Commission to have transparency and accountability for these key positions.
