The government has allocated $18 million dollars to the Fiji Airways in the 2016 National Budget.

While delivering the budget address this morning Attorney General and Minister for Finance Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says a lot has been planned to the National carrier next year.

Sayed-Khaiyum says Fiji Airways will commence a new route to Singapore from April 2016 with the arrival of its new air bus A330-300 series.

The Minister says these direct flights will connect Fiji to more Asian countries and will attract more tourists in the country.
