Sixteen people are expected to appear at the Nadi Magistrate Court this afternoon for alleged offenses which are seditious in nature.

They were rounded up by Police yesterday for their alleged involved in efforts to create Nadroga as a separate state.

FBC News understands two of the 16 are women.

They will appear in court at 2pm.

Meanwhile, six more people in Ra have been charged with sedition and urging political violence.

They appeared at the Tavua Magistrate Court this morning.
