Fiji Airways 7s Coach Gareth Baber hopes the players repeat the Cape Town 7s performance in the Hamilton tournament at the end of this month.

Baber says he is focusing on strengthening the team’s defense and increasing the players’ fitness level in this remaining two weeks.

“I will also be looking at our defense. It was good in the semifinal and final in Cape Town and I want that to be part of what we do again. I want us to be aggressive, in people’s faces, and making sure they take their time and create space equally – and I want us to keep scoring tries because we’re the best in the world at it.”

Baber says the players are well aware of the expectations and the responsibility they have heading into the tournament.
The Hamilton 7s will be held on the 26th and 27th of this month in New Zealand.
