With 161 houses in Nabobuco district in Naitasiri, only eight houses survived after tropical Cyclone Winston.

This was confirmed by the Turaga ni Yavusa, Naiseva Drotini as villagers are in fear of diseases due to the current situation in the province.

There are insufficient food sources to cater for the villagers in the coming weeks as all food crops were uprooted and blown away during the cyclone.

Drotini says the other 153 houses were fully destroyed and villagers had to pick up clothes from nearby bushes as they were blown away by gusty winds on Saturday.

Drotini is pleading to the government to pay a visit to the province and get a glimpse of what Winston had left for them.
