Around 150 people are expected to fill in the vacant positions for a temporary three month term at Air Terminal Services.

These positions were advertised a few weeks ago.

Acting chief executive, Hare Mani confirmed to FBC News that they received close to 2000 applications and began conducting interviews last Friday.

He adds they have identified potential candidates and have called them in to do their medical and police clearance.

Mani says they’re expected to begin work next week.

Meanwhile, 27 people have signed letters by the Management and have opted to return to work.

Mani says there are reports that more of the workers who had stayed away from work are in the process of signing the letters in anticipation of returning to work soon.

Mani says they are encouraging staff to sign the prescribed abandonment letter and return to work.
