One hundred and fifty evaluators for the Fiji Business Excellence Awards undertook a week-long training session in Suva to enhance the standards of evaluation.
Quality Awards Manager, Bob Mitchell says the session was aimed at informing the evaluators on the criteria companies need to meet in order to receive the excellence awards.
The FBEA takes its cue from the Baldrige Business Excellence which has an in-depth criteria.
Hence, international examiner, Paul Steel was in the country conducting the training session.
“We’re giving them the same capability that I have and the other international evaluators have in all of the other awards this is not some down-sized version the capabilities of the evaluators here in Fiji is the same.”
After all the applications are submitted, the evaluators will conduct surveys to identify which company makes the cut following which the FBEA will be held in November.
