Nausori will soon have a ten million dollar market as construction is due to start soon.

Nausori Town Council Special Administrator Napolioni Masirewa says they are awaiting the final approval from the Minister of Local Government.

He says the new market will have an additional room for 700 more stalls.

There is no space. Every Saturday the market is chalk-a-block. We need to have space to mingle and trade. We will have 6000 sq metres compared to the 4000 we have now.

Cabinet approved for the new site to be located at the old golf course in Nausori.

The current market has 800 stalls and is deemed to be overcrowded especially on Saturdays.
