There are indications that 10 businesses in Nadi will close down as a result of the floods.
Chamber of Commerce President Dr. Ram Raju says it will take a while for most businesses to bounce back.
Indications are that up to 10 may never open.
Dr. Raju says they have worked on plans with the Reserve Bank and FRCA to offer attractive tax rebates, soft loans and other measures to help every business to stay afloat.
The Chamber is still completing a comprehensive flood survey.
The findings will help us in many ways, assessing flood damage… it will be released to members this week before being made public.
Nadi will continue with its flood sale until Saturday.
