The staff of Fiji Electricity Authority will soon receive a $1.2 million payout in bonuses.
While making the announcement yesterday, Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum commended the FEA staff for their cooperation during the challenging weather patterns to maintain the organization’s profitability.
Sayed-Khaiyum says each staff in FEA plays a critical role to serve the nation.

“Because somebody is a driver in FEA or somebody is an accounts clerk or a customer service person or an auditor, all of you play an important role. It’s not only the CEO. Of course the CEO is important; he or she will need to put things together.”
Seventy percent of the payout will go to the non-management staff.
