Dr. Nur Bano Ali

Women who received awards in the past Women in Business events cannot apply for the same award this year.

President Dr. Nur Bano Ali clarifies that if a woman was recognized as an Aspiring Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018, she cannot apply for the same category in 2019.

Dr Ali says more than 150 women will be vying for seven different awards this year.

“What it does, it showcases the women who are leading in commerce and then from which other women watch and see and get empowered. What it also does in another way is where the other sector of society- men who can’t see women or who are not maybe so familiar, they can see that it’s happening and they better be part of it.”

Dr. Ali says with five months left for the annual event, it is important for applicants to be well aware of the requirements.
