Post Fiji Limited is working closely with relevant stakeholders to help curb the transportation of illegal substances in and out of Fiji.
Head of Retail and Marketing Isaac Mow says they are playing their part in terms of preventing the transportation of illegal substances – including the scanning of parcels, envelopes and other items that Post Fiji handles.
“And we are working in close collaboration with customs, with biosecurity and also with the Fiji Police as well. These are the partners that we’ve engaged and formed the strategic alliances with to ensure that all mails that are coming into the country and going out are properly scanned.
Mow says all stakeholders involved have their own procedure to follow and this has been successful in a number of instances – leading to the confiscation of some illegal substances.
