Vodafone launches Fiji’s first Artificial Chatbot

Vodafone Fiji has achieved another milestone today by introducing Fiji’s first Artificial Intelligence-driven contact center chatbot.

Chief Commercial Officer Ronald Prasad says the biggest digital launch of the month – “Joe”- is Vodafone Fiji’s 24/7 digital assistant, designed to improve customer experience.

Prasad says the new Joe chatbot will avoid delays in checking balances, phone prices, data plans, and other Vodafone services

“We’ve always been ahead of the game in terms of bringing in cutting edge technology. For us, it’s going to materialize into cost savings, efficiencies and effectiveness in terms of driving productivity in the organization”.

This technological advancement will also ease the workload for Vodafone staff.

“We see this technology as a collaborative technology, so instead of our staff spending time on very simplistic and repetitive tasks that can easily be automated, we are improving that aspect of the work so that our staff can add more value and handle more complex issues. ”

Vodafone Fiji plans to carry out more technological advancements in the future.
