US gives more assistance

The assistance from the United States continues to pour in post Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

This as US Ambassador to Fiji, Joseph Cella announced just over $400,000 in additional funding to support recovery efforts.

This new funding brings the total emergency assistance from the U.S. Agency for International Development USAID to approximately US$300,000 $609,590.

The funding will go to its humanitarian partner on the ground—the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and their local partner the Fiji Red Cross Society—to scale up response efforts in communities affected by TC Yasa.
