The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism is conducting a 3-day workshop for senior executives and aspiring directors.

This is in partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Minister Responsible Premila Kumar says during this workshop the participants will undergo Fiji Directors Course which is a unique tailor-made training opportunity for professionals.

Kumar says the training is designed to challenge statutory boards to set higher standards particularly in terms of adopting a much more comprehensive approach to risk management, diversity, change and the need to adapt to new technologies.

“This course is very much needed, sometimes in life we need to recharge our batteries , we need to refresh on the development that is taking place in the corporate world and once we know what is happening there we are able to apply that so that we can perform better in respective jobs that we do in our various organizations.”

She says this course will help more than 20 participants in their career development.
