Team building activities necessary for development

Doctors and midwives from Murdoch Children’s Research Institute underwent a team building and bonding program.

Facilitated by Fijian company, Handy Training, the Australian organization underwent the initiative to boost employee morale, expand on communication skills, conflict resolution, and time management.

A total of 24 participants that were primarily composed of health professionals and support workers from MCRI were taken through a series of fun games and activities that motivated and helped build skills around specifically targeted key areas.

When asked about the team building experience, Lead Researcher Dr. Maeve Hume-Nixon explains that because their such a big team, it was nice to get a chance for them to all be together in the same place, doing something outside of the norm that utilized their skills and was fun and interactive.

The team building programs are designed to motivate and boost employee and organizational commitment and development.

Dr. Hume-Nixon further commenting that investing in employees with initiatives like this are really important because it shows care and value for employees.
