SPCB Conference starts today

The Reserve Bank of Fiji will be hosting the inaugural South Pacific Central Banking Research conference in Suva today.

The two-day conference will for the first time bring together central bank researchers to share views with academics, policy makers and business leaders from the South Pacific and Australasia.

The researchers will speak on current research on the region and to explore vital links between research and policy relating to central banking issues.

These will also include financial and private sectors and economic growth and development.

Reserve Banks from Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Australia and New Zealand will be part of the conference.

Including the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and Asian Development Bank.
