The South Sea Cruises has revealed that the company has invested in a new $3million sailing vessel.

Chief Executive Brad Rutherford says the catamaran is currently being built by Ocean Voyage in France.

Rutherford says this will definitely boost their reach in catering for tourists.

He says there are very limited sailing opportunities in Fiji and this is an area they will venture into.

“We will be doing day sailing out of Denarau on a flexible itinerary to the Mamanucas so it’s a wonderful product which can take 80 passengers and it will be good for the South Seas product.”

Rutherford adds they expect to commission the catamaran by June next year.
