The growth in the small and medium car business has seen sales of well-known companies drop.

Asco Motors Acting Chief Executive Ronald Kumar said this following the launch of the new Toyota Rush and he hopes that the new model with its unique features could boost sales.

Kumar says that 2019 has been really challenging adding that this has seen an increase in Asco’s repair and service business.

“I guess because a lot more vehicles are being serviced, that is a side of the business that is consistent compared to vehicle sales which obviously is dependent on how the economy is going again there a more repairs to suspensions areas.”

Meanwhile, Fiji Roads Authority Chief Executive Jonathan Moore had also told FBC News that he is not satisfied with their maintenance contractors.

He says overall road condition is unsatisfactory, one reason why many vehicles are being affected.
