Rosie Holidays marks Chinese NY holiday first for Tianjian

In another first for the tourism sector, in-bound tour operator Rosie Holiday has sealed direct air charters that will link China’s “Diamond of the Bohai Gulf” Tianjian with Fiji.

Starting from the first of February, the first charter of 300 passengers on Fiji Airways’ Airbus 330-300 will arrive at Nadi International Airport in the lead up to the Chinese New Year holidays which this year falls on Tuesday 05th February.

According to the Chinese lunar calendar, this is the year of the Pig.

Managing Director of Rosie Holidays Tony Whitton says this will be the fourth year they will be running air charters of this kind.

Previously, Rosie Holiday pioneered charters into Shanghai and Beijing.

Tianjin, the 4th largest city in China which represents a dynamic economic region with a very wealthy middle class who in 2015 were rated No.1 in China in terms of highest GDP growth per capita across China.

The second direct charter flight from Tianjian to Nadi is scheduled for February 7th.

The Chinese tourists will stay at Fiji’s major four and five-star hotels in the Yasawas and Mamanucas and on

Denarau and along the Coral Coast, based on 5 night packages; and will include tours, activities such as visiting traditional villages, day cruises and handicraft shopping.
