A prominent hardware trader has been fined $10,000 following the outcome of the investigation into the Homes CARE and Farms CARE initiative.
Eleven traders were investigated by the Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission for abusing the Homes CARE and Farms CARE initiative.
Chief Executive Officer, Joel Abraham says the trader was engaged in unfair business tactics.
Abraham says 10 cases are still before the courts relating to the Homes CARE and Farms CARE investigation.
He says this should come as a clear warning to other traders who are thinking of engaging in unfair business practices especially during the festive period.
