Post Fiji optimistic about revenue outlook

October 15, 2019 12:20 pm

Post Fiji’s operations in the recent past were being carried out with some income generated from other avenues in terms of mail and registered post.

Chief executive, Dr Anirudha Bansod says this has prompted the company to review the prices of its services.

He adds the current charges for postal services are not up to par with international prices, and as a result, Post-Fiji is running at a loss.

“We keep on continuing because we have other businesses in terms of mails, registered post and we try to gain certain momentum from other products. But we can’t run the business in the losses all the time, we really need to focus on where we make some margins and where we don’t”.

Dr. Bansod says the last review was undertaken in 2012 and it is high time to review the prices again to meet the current market rates.
