Nadi International Airport has been recognized by Airports Council International (ACI) Asia-Pacific as one of the leading Green Airports in the Asia-Pacific region.

Nadi International Airport received Silver Recognition in the less than 10 million passengers per annum category.

The program recognizes airports’ outstanding achievements in their environmental projects.

Fiji Airports Executive Chair Faiz Khan says this is yet another amazing achievement for the Fijian airport on the international arena.

ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Director Patti Chau says through the ‘Nadi Airport Terminal Modernisation Project’, Fiji has exemplified the objective of promoting best practices to minimize airports’ impact on the environment.

Nadi International Airport is one of the 9 airports celebrated in Green Airports Recognition 2019.

Nadi is also the first airport in the South Pacific to attain Level 1 Airports Carbon Accreditation, another ACI programme that recognizes airports’ efforts in CO2 emission reduction, and now actively pursuing Level 2 accreditation.
