Hundreds of tourists from as far as Europe flocked into Savusavu Town yesterday to witness the beauty of the Hidden Paradise.

“It’s very pretty. It’s a beautiful little town. We like it very much. People are very friendly. Life is very slow and nice.”

It was also an opportune time for handicraft sellers to bring out their craft, however, the Savusavu Tourism Association says cruise ship tourists don’t buy much when they come to Savusavu.

This is the 2nd port call for the MS Maasdam in Fiji, with the Lautoka Port first on its stopover list.

Today, the vessel will be in Dravuni, Kadavu and then will leave for New Zealand.

The MS Maasdam is named after the Maas River in the Netherlands and has the capacity to carry 1,258 passengers.
