Korea International Cooperation Agency Fiji Director today unveiled the SDG Billboard highlighting the importance of achieving the set-out Sustainable Development Goals.

Unveiling the Billboard at the Fiji Council of Social Services today, KOICA Fiji Director Jihi Kim says they’re keen on helping the relevant organization in working towards the SDGs.

Fiji Council of Social Services Executive Director Vani Catanasiga says there’s still a lot of work to be done in order to achieve the SDG in the time frame it has been set on.

Catanasiga adds work towards the SDG is challenged by the lack of data.

“One of the biggest challenges with doing work around SDGs is the data. I think our system in CSO, it’s already apparent that we need to be working together and not alone and that’s what SDG report which was launched about a month ago was about. It was about bringing all of our data together to see how which community we’ve impacted and what other work is left to be done.”

She says the Civil Society Organizations are working on all the 17 SDGs targeting development across the board.

Catanasiga says they’re engaging other partners outside CSO and Non-Government Organizations.
