Dr. Nur Bano Ali

More women will be recognized in the Women in Business awards this year.

This has been confirmed by WIB President Dr. Nur Bano Ali.

Dr. Ali says they’ll be giving seven awards this year as in previous years only female business executives in the private sector were recognized.

This year the WIB will recognize businesswomen in the public sector.

“As you know we’ve got the Women Business of the year and we then we have got the executive women award of the year. Executive women in private sector and executive women in the public sector. We added that two years ago so that made it bigger so we’ve got two of those and then we’ve got the manager of the year in both sectors as well and then you got aspiring entrepreneur of the year and then you’ve got the employer of choice.”

Meanwhile, the 2019 Women in Business awards will be launched in Suva this evening.
