SPSE Business Development Manager, Pretesh Prasad
The listing of the Energy Fiji Limited onto the South Pacific Stock Exchange is a priority for the exchange this year.
SPSE Business Development Manager, Pretesh Prasad says talks are underway with the Public Enterprise Ministry to see this listing come to fruition.
“All these EFL customers who are now shareholders and have taken up their non-voting share offer will be allowed to trade free shares on the South Pacific Stock Exchange once the company is listed. This plan is a focus we will be working on quite vigorously in 2019.”
Prasad adds increasing the number of companies listing on the SPSE will position the stock exchange in becoming a better barometer of the economy.
He says the listing of the energy company will serve as a pathway to realizing this opportunity.
