Investment Fiji collects $244,986 as FIRC fees

Investment Fiji has handed over $244,000 in Foreign Investment Registration Certification fees to the Ministry of Economy in the last six months.

Investment Fiji’s Acting General Manager, Ritesh Gosai says a total of 98 FIRC applications were received during this period.

He says the month of August and October recorded the highest number of FIRCs received by Investment Fiji and services, wholesale and retail, manufacturing and tourism sectors continued to attract a large number of investors in the country.

Gosai says the number of FIRC applications received is an indication of strong investor confidence in the Fijian economy.

Meanwhile the Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Economy, Makereta Konrote commended Investment Fiji’s efforts in attracting the foreign direct investments and encouraged the agency to continue to work collaboratively with investors.
