FSC invests in 100 trucks

The Fiji Sugar Corporation has invested in 100 trucks which will be used during the new harvesting season.

Chief executive Graham Clarke says the designs for these trucks will be an advantage for the cane belts around the country.

“I think we have 17 already here with 20 arriving next week and the balance when harvesting starts and the plan is to allocate them around the cane belts but essentially our priority is to look after our harvester with 7 expected to be used during this season.”

Clark has not revealed the cost of the trucks.

He adds with the new trucks, it will greatly assist some areas during the harvesting season.
