FRCS to launch e-pay services

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service is working on an e-payment system for Fijians to pay their taxes.

Chief Executive Visvanath Das says they working with the Bank of the South Pacific and Bank of Baroda, with the system to be rolled out in August.

Das says bank customers will be able to use their online banking portals to make payments to FRCS and receive real-time confirmations.

He adds once customers log into the New Tax Information System, they will be able to see the types of taxes due, the amount payable and the penalties that these overdue taxes have attracted.

He says customers can access the service from their BSP or Bank of Baroda online banking portal and payments can be done from anywhere at any time.
