FRCS officers attend customs enforcement training

FRCS CEO Visvanath Das says through the training administrations have the ability to manage information on all aspects of their law-enforcement functions.

The Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) in collaboration with the World Customs Organization (WCO) is training Customs Officers.

The training is on the use of the National Customs Enforcement Network.

The training gives Customs administrations the ability to collect, store, analyze and disseminate law enforcement information more efficiently at the national level, in order to establish robust intelligence capabilities and enhance profiling.

FRCS CEO Visvanath Das says through the training administrations have the ability to manage information on all aspects of their law-enforcement functions.

Das says in order to face the challenges of the digital age, Customs administrations must commit to continuous improvement and modernization of their procedures and operational techniques.

The training will conclude this Friday.
