FPCL announces bonus payout

FPCL board chair Shaheen Ali says last year they had recorded a strong and profitable trading year.

Christmas came early for the staff of the Fiji Ports Corporation Limited as they announced a bonus payout today.

FPCL board chair Shaheen Ali says last year they had recorded a strong and profitable trading year.

More than $345,000 will be shared between 226 employees of Fiji Ports and Fiji Ships and Heavy Industries Limited.

Ali says the bonus is an indication of hard work that has enabled FPCL to achieve an unprecedented level of success.

“It Shows that the Fiji Ports group continues to perform better, thus this bonus announcement is a way of thanking you and a way of giving back to you all.”

Today marked another milestone for the FPCL as they launched their 5-year strategic plan.

“The board and management have worked on a 5-year strategic plan from 2019 to 2023. This plan will assist FPCL to leverage the opportunities to achieve our goals.”

The five-year plan includes a strategic perspective which involves governance, infrastructure, and financial performance.
