Chief Executive, Jaoji Koroi says regular upgrades to any commercial building is part and parcel of property investment.

Koroi says the planned refurbishment of the ground floor and food court area has been delayed for some time.

“It has been due for an upgrade for a while, its overdue for an upgrade so this process we are trying to change the facelift, bring it up to a more vibrant standard so we are also reviewing the food court area which is the main area that will be affected.”

As part of the renovation, a modern look will be given to the food court area and the building’s main entrance.

“We are working closely with the tenants to see if they can be given preferred positions when it is open. When it reopens it will still be a food court but it will be a different design and new design for eateries.”

Koroi says they are still finalizing the tender and he did not disclose the amount that will be spent on the renovation.

The tenants have been informed of the closure and are already making plans on what they’ll do during this period.

The FNPF has indicated that it will take around three to six months to complete the renovation.
