A number of delegates from across the Asia Pacific Region attending the ADB meeting in Nadi have praised Fiji for a wonderful event.

Samoa’s Minister for Finance Sili Tuioti says that it’s a proud moment for the Pacific to host the ADB Governors Meeting.

Tuioti says that even with Fiji hosting the event, the Pacific will still be on show.

“I think it’s great for Fiji and the Pacific, as a whole it brings also of people from Europe, North America and Asia who have never been to Fiji or the Pacific. This is an important opportunity also for them to see the difficult challenges the Pacific is facing.”

Similar sentiments were shared by the Deputy Prime Minister for Cook Island Mike Brown who says Fiji is taking the lead role in the Pacific.

Brown adds that he is confident a number of issues will also be addressed during the meeting.
