Fiji Airways, and Japan Airlines today announced a codeshare arrangement that makes travel between the two countries much more convenient.

Both airlines are members of the oneworld alliance family, with Japan Airlines being a fully-fledged member while Fiji Airways is a member of the oneworld connect programme.

Under the arrangement, Japan Airlines will now be able to offer almost daily flights between Nadi and Tokyo Narita, with two direct services and options via Fiji’s other Asian gateways Singapore, and Hong Kong, utilizing the `JL` designator code on flights operated by Fiji Airways.

Chief Executive, Andre Viljoen says they are delighted to add the fifth oneworld airline to the global network as a highly valued codeshare partner.

He says the airline is working with Japan Airlines to bring more of its customers to Fiji.
