The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission will continues with its education and awareness programs for consumers next year.
Chief Executive Joel Abraham says through this program they aim to educate consumers so they can better understand their rights.
Abraham says it will help consumers become active participants in the buying process.

“They need to be quite skeptical. Whether you see an advertisement or you see some form of discount you must ask yourself why is this special being offered and why is the product cheap.”
He says the commission is also working on making the market more competitive come next year.
