“We are very happy to provide what we can to support this. We are providing some free credit and some data which will help you and your organization and your planning and obviously join your execution stage to the pageant which is happening in November”.

Meanwhile, Pageant Coordinator Sulique Waqa says this year’s event will run on its own as compared to the past ten years.

Waqa adds funds raised from the pageant that will be used to build an emergency shelter, community hub, a mobile clinic for legal and health services to facilitate transgender women who would seek their services in the future.

“So we are very grateful to have a partner such as Digicel on board supporting this course for community development as well as in terms of advancing the rights of transgender women in this country”.

Waqa says the theme for this year’s pageant is Celebrating Inclusion and Diversity, where 12 contestants will be vying for the 2019 Adi Senikau title.
