The cruise ship sector continues to contribute massively to Fiji’s tourism industry with each voyage bringing in $305,000 indirect revenue.

The latest International Finance Corporation Report highlights that Fiji’s tourism industry is growing exponentially with each tourist spending at least $90 per day on our shores.
Tourism Minister Premila Kumar hopes improving infrastructure and services will be an added boost for the cruise ship sector.

“The number of cruise vessels we have seen has also been increasing year by year. Depending upon the size of the vessel between 500-3000 tourists along with as many as 1000 crew members disembark at the multipurpose ports of entry in Suva and Lautoka.

Last year, the Cruise Ship Industry contributed 0.66 percent to Fiji’s GDP.
