Business houses in Labasa are being warned not to take advantage of the current situation in Vanua Levu.

This warning is being directed mostly towards those businesses that sell hardware materials.

The president of the Labasa Chambers of Commerce, Satish Kumar, says they haven’t received any reports of price gouging, however they are keeping a close eye on businesses.

While the chamber is keeping a close watch, Kumar says relevant authorities are also keeping a tab.
