Businesses in outer islands to benefit from Datec, VMWare services

Business in the outer islands will be amongst the many to benefit from the services provided by Datec and VMWare.

The two companies will work together in providing cloud-based solutions for businesses.

VMware Australia’s Chief Technologist Simon Caruso says services like 5G network will be made available.

“We have spoken to the police and they have a lot of data centers out in the outer islands. So we are ensuring how we can provide connectivity to them and we are looking at technology such as 5G. Whether it is 5G, 4G, we have the technology to provide services to those on the other side of the islands.”

Caruso says the services differ based on the client’s preference and businesses can choose from a wide range of products.

Datec Fiji General Manager Satyen Singh has welcomed this partnership which aims to boost internet connectivity as well.
