BSP lowers ATM Interbank fees

BSP has reduced its ATM Interbank fees.

This has made it cheaper for ANZ, Westpac and Bank of Baroda customers to use the nationwide network of BSP ATMs.

BSP Fiji Country Head, Haroon Ali says “previously the customers from these three banks using BSP ATMs were charged $1.50 for withdrawals and $0.60 for balance inquiries.

With this reduction, the customers will be charged $0.50 and $0.20 respectively.

Ali says the number of Fijians using their bank cards for everyday transactions is growing rapidly.

BSP customers are not affected by this change.

Ali says BSP is also working closely with the Association of Banks in Fiji to include BRED Bank and HFC in the ATM Interbank arrangement,

The reduced fees became effective on February 1st.
