Over 400 employees of Tropik and Fiji Pine shared in the financial success of their companies.
Each employee who worked for the full year received $2,000 as a bonus payout.
The company also contributed Fiji National Provident Fund and FNU levy on top at $220 each, making the total cost to the company at $2,220 per employee who worked for the entire year.
Those who worked part of the year received pro-rata payments.
Executive Chair Faiz Khan says the bonus is given across the board to all colleagues based on the financial success of their companies.
This year they declared $7m in lease bonuses to their pine landowners.
Khan says in addition they have successfully delivered a number of projects, including producing and supplying five percent of Fiji’s total power demand through their biomass cogeneration plant from renewable energy sources.
